Washington DC Professional Employer Organization Partners with iBreakfastWashington, DC, October 13, 2011 - Ambrose has announced a new partnership with iBreakfast aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in the DC area. Under the new partnership, the professional employer organization (PEO) will sponsor a milestone iBreakfast event in DC that will feature Ambrose’s small business leadership seminar content followed by a venture capital pitch contest. The event will take place at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. on November 2. The seminar portion of the agenda, How to Lead A Growing Company, will be presented by Ambrose Co-CEO Greg Slamowitz. In the seminar, Mr. Slamowitz will speak about aligning human capital, developing corporate culture, embracing change, and other techniques for leading a growing company. The seminar complements leading business literature featured in the Ambrose Library. iBreakfast, the renowned entrepreneurship and venture capital exchange, provides a regular forum for entrepreneurs to connect with venture capitalists for funding. The iBreakfast pitch contest event, known as the “iEvening,” enables entrepreneurs to present their business plans to VCs. iEvenings have helped numerous entrepreneurs raise their first round of capital, and iBreakfast is no stranger to the DC area, having hosted many events in DC from 1999-2005. Of the many entrepreneurs that successfully pitched their business plans, DC based CEO and Founder Ann Holland raised her first round of capital for MarketingSherpa.com. iBreakfast recently began including Ambrose seminar content at the iEvenings, so that the events not only facilitated start-up funding but also educated the entrepreneurs on techniques for leading their companies to growth. As a response to the burgeoning start-up scene in DC, Ambrose and iBreakfast committed to bring the new event format to DC. For the upcoming event, entrepreneurs from the DC area will be able to pitch their business plans to a panel of prestigious venture capitalists. As such, the event is the first of its kind in DC and seeks to bridge a gap between DC based entrepreneurs and venture capital firms from New York and elsewhere. The event also coincides with the recent launch of Ambrose’s new DC office. “Now that Entrepreneurship has been recognized as the key to the country’s competitiveness, job creation and wealth building,” says Alan Brody, “we are glad to bring our showcase of the Entrepreneurial way of thinking back to the nation’s capital,” said Alan Brody, Founder of iBreakfast.
