Professional Employer Organization Ranks Among Top Ten Best Places to Work in New YorkNEW YORK, April 30, 2012 - The New York State Society for Human Resource Management recognized Ambrose as one of the “Best Companies To Work For in New York.” According to its annual 2012 survey, a joint awards program from the New York State Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group, Ambrose ranked #6 as one of the best places to work among small / medium sized businesses in New York State. "We thank the New York Society for Human Resource Management for this recognition, which reinforces our continuing efforts to provide a great workplace for our employees. It is incredibly important for Ambrose to deliver on our Brand Promise: 'Great People, Great Solutions, Great Delivery'," said Ambrose Director of Human Resources Marvelle Roberts. An annual two-part survey, managed by Best Companies Group, was evaluated and used to determine the rankings. Part one of the assessment included an evaluation of companies’ benefits, policies, practices, and other general data. Part two of the assessment included an employee survey to evaluate workplace experience. The two surveys were used in conjunction to evaluate both company strengths and opportunities to build a better workplace. "Ambrose is a company where people count and we mean it when we tell new employees that they are going to experience something that they have never experienced before," said Ambrose Co-CEO John Iorillo. Ambrose seeks to provide a high quality work environment to its employees including rich employee benefits plan options, a comfortable work setting, company events and other perks, and fosters a variety of development opportunities for its employees. As a Professional Employer Organization providing outsourced human resources, the company not only has a commitment to quality of work life, but also developed its own thought leadership campaign across key human resources topics, one of which includes practical techniques for small business owners to lead, develop, and motivate employees. The recent “Best Places To Work For” nomination is likely due in part to Ambrose employing its best practices techniques with respect to its own employees. Since the company was founded in 1997, Ambrose has developed a cohesive internal community built upon core values. Through its ambitious, non-hierarchical, team-oriented culture, Ambrose seeks to empower its employees to become change agents. One of Ambrose’s core values – To Teach And Be Taught – is at the heart of the company’s initiatives to foster employee growth and development. Ambrose has recently created specific programs to promote learning, leadership, and innovation, particularly as the company expands into new markets around the country and grows its headcount significantly. Employees have the opportunity to identify areas of strength and possible leadership opportunities in one-on-one development sessions with their managers. The company also encourages active sharing of ideas during brown bag lunches with the CEO, including topics from the company’s extensive library of books on business leadership. “Ambrose’s core values and strong culture are the foundation for our company’s community. They support our people and our leadership and drive change and growth,” said Ambrose Co-CEO Greg Slamowitz. About Ambrose
