AMBROSE SPONSORS iBREAKFAST NJ START-UP EVENT

AMBROSE ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP OF iBREAKFAST NEW JERSEY STARTUP EVENT AT NJIT FEATURING MAYOR CORY BOOKER THURSDAY MAY 19th

NEWARK, NJ, May 6, 2011 - Ambrose announced a strategic partnership with Sperlingreene, a marketing and event planning firm, to become a lead sponsor and participant in the firm’s first iBreakfast special event held in New Jersey. The Start-up MiniConference event, titled “iEvening New Jersey,” will take place on May 19th from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm and will be hosted by the State's largest incubator, The Enterprise Development Center at NJIT in celebration of National Small Business Week.  The agenda, featuring a keynote by Newark Mayor Cory Booker, will include two focused workshops for entrepreneurs and startups, networking, exhibits and a competitive speed pitching presentation to a panel of high-profile early stage investors.

In addition to sponsoring the event, Ambrose will offer its popular one-hour workshop on Leading A Growing Company, led by Ambrose Co-CEO Greg Slamowitz. According to Slamowitz, Ambrose’s participation in the event reinforces its commitment to supporting technology, media, and start-up companies in New Jersey.

“Ambrose is a strong supporter of entrepreneurship in New Jersey, and we are excited to participate in this event and this community,” said Ambrose CO-CEO Greg Slamowitz.

The Ambrose workshop on how to lead a growing company covers practical techniques for aligning human capital, developing corporate culture, embracing change, and other issues critical to leading a growing startup or small business.   It will include content derived from Ambrose’s Seminar Series.

The second workshop on the agenda, titled “Power Pivot Workshop,” will help firms uncover the core value of their business plan as they prepare to pitch to a panel of leading, early stage investors.

Following a keynote speech from Mayor Booker of Newark, NJ and brief comments by investors, a number of selected startups will provide speed pitches for the judges at the event. The event will conclude with selection of a top contender by the investor panel.

“This rich, inspiring workshop led by Greg Slamowitz is sure to ‘fire up’ the early stage technology and life science innovators who will attend. It’s clear that Ambrose is emerging as a thought leader for the startup community throughout the Tri-State area,” said Steven Greene of iBreakfast New Jersey.

Alan Brody, Founder of iBreakfast added, “This sponsorship by an award-winning firm, Ambrose, demonstrates the powerful resources available in New Jersey today to serve the Garden State’s surging start-up community.”
