About The Hedge Fund CFO Association and Alternative Investment Financial Executives Assocation
AIFEA was formed by the Senior Financial Officer of an Alternative Investment Firm who realized that regularly networking with his peers provided substantial value.  Based on his experience, he formed the Association to provide regular networking and educational events that would help him to meet and interact with peers and enhance his technical skills.  The Association continues to be focused on providing high value to our members that makes them more successful.
The Association provides regular events that are designed to provide high value to our members.  Each event is organized so that members have both the opportunity to network as well as enhance their knowledge and skill level.    The type of events we sponsors are:
• Quarterly Educational Meetings - These meetings are organized by a Steering Committee composed of members of each chapter and are focused on current pressing issues our members are facing.  The Board brings together a panel of industry experts for a general discussion of the topic.  These panels are moderated by a Steering Committee member who ensures that the most important issues are covered.  Attendance at the meetings is limited so that their is a free flow of information between presenters and our members.
• Boot Camp - A detailed deep dive into a topic is accomplished during our Boot Camps.  Industry experts work with our members in a small group setting so that our members  may thoroughly  understand a topic.  These sessions are focused on providing technical knowledge and skills that are required by our members to excel at their jobs.
• Monthly Lunches - Lunch meetings typically have no agenda, rather they are the opportunity for our members to interact and catch up with their peers.
• Social Events - The Association organizes social events for our members to interact and network.
• Career Services - As one of the largest organizations of Alternative Investment Financial Professionals, we have access to many recruiters and continue to provide our members with career services if they are in transition or considering a change.

Complimentary membership in AIFEA is available to the Senior Financial Officer and Controllers of Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Leveraged Buyout and Fund of Funds.
