Ambrose Employees Chip In and Use Baking Skills to Raise Money for Charity
New York, NY, December 14, 2011 - “We do the cookie exchange here because it’s fun and easy way to be festive in the office during the holiday season,” says Director of Legal Services Beth Perlak. “When we found out about the great opportunity to make this event have a charitable component, there was really no question of our participation."
On December 12, Ambrose held its third annual Cookie Swap. Quickly becoming a favorite among the participants, the event invites Ambrose employees to show off their baking skills. Everyone bakes their favorite cookies and later walks away with an assortment as unique as their co-workers.
This year, Ambrose proudly registered the Cookie Swap with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. “I have a friend at OXO who told me about the promotion,” says HR Services Team Lead Beth Yanco. “She knows that we host an annual cookie swap and thought that we may want to add a philanthropic component to our event.” She was right.
